Features of the Schemes

• Non-submission is treated as a lack of progress and may result in withholding of assistance for the final quarter. 
• As allocations lapse at the end of the financial year, instalments cannot be released in the following year even if progress is reported after the cut-off dates.
• The programme is reviewed by the Vigilance and Monitoring Committee at the district level, which includes Members of Parliament.

Guidelines:
Guidelines issued previously by the Ministry of Rural Development may now be adapted by States. They are expected to ensure timely disbursements, transparent sanctioning processes, particularly in the event of the death of beneficiaries, annual verification, and active involvement of Gram Panchayats.

State-run Schemes:

NSAP Application Process

Application Process for the National Social Assistance Programme

Individuals may apply for benefits under the National Social Assistance Programme through either the online or offline process. Introduction of New Pension Schemes in 2009

Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme:

Present Status of the National Social Assistance Programme
